Reducing Baby Skin Irritation

gmarocks_tt_tanThere’s nothing quite as soft and sensitive as baby skin, and this can mean frequent occurrences of breakouts. After all, many of the products that we can place on our skin without any issue are particularly problematic for babies. This can include all kinds of lotions, soaps, and detergents. Problem items are often those that add a strong scent. The scent itself can sometimes bother your child, but the chemicals to create that scent can be equally problematic.

Even with toddler t shirts, you have to be careful that there aren’t any chemicals or additives in your detergent that can irritate your child’s skin. One common item that causes problems is the dryer sheet. While people often add these sheets without any thought, they have been shown to cause reactions in some infants and toddler. Outside of clothing, you’ll also want to use a gentle soap and shampoo for bath time.
