What is happening to America. Everyone (exaggeration) is fat, obese or at least over weight. It’s really sad that now models, magazines and clothing ads are all promoting this. How is it we are all on a diet, but all still fat. All the pictures in the ads about weight loss say “results now normal” or “results may vary”. Basically, they don’t work unless you are a movie star or rich enough to have someone manage your every move and food.
Just having a baby is no excuse to gain weight and keep it on. If you just nurse it takes 800 calories/day or more to produce the milk. That’s how grandma got her weight back, plus life wasn’t so easy then. Baby clothes were hand sewn and with nursing, taking care of a newborn (not just putting them in a carrier and a pacifier in their mouth) and moving. You know, take the baby on a walk, do yoga. Yoga not only energizes it relaxes you. Just what mom needs!
I never had enough money to buy a playpen when my boys were young, I was so jealous. I spent all my time running around chasing after wild toddlers running loose getting into everything possible, even somethings that were impossible. I couldn’t take my boys anywhere because my house was completely baby proofed and everybody else lived in a china closet.
think my third son was the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. I’m not being prejdiced or the only one who felt this way. He’s now 15, 6′, tall and and lankey 180 lbs, Doesn’t sound skinny, but trust me, he is like a rubber band and I don’t think he’s stopping at 6′. He’s changed a little Toe head is now dark blonde, going through “that” stage (speaks for itself), but he is the coolest kid I know.
