Baby Accessories Guru

Who out there is a grandmother or father?  Didn’t you think once your “babies” left they would stay gone.  Finally, time to lay back and relax.  But, no, they come back in midget form.  They do make you remember some of the great things about children in general, but you come to realize the terrible twos begin at about 9 months and end around 19.

Just to make sure I wouldn’t turn down babysitting my grandson came over wearing a unique baby tee  that said “Grandpa Rocks”.  I thought parents got to cause the guilt trip thing!  Like they say, “payback is a b____h!

Another Baby!  I just got a call from my sister.  She has 5 kids and is pregnant again!  One thing I can say for her is she loves babies and if anyone should have them she should.  All her kids are great.  But, this means more gifts.  Since she has already had 5, I figure she has run out of hand me downs and it is time for some cool baby clothing to replace that old boring stuff.  Now it’s time to go shopping - not my idea of fun.

I don’t know about you, but I have mixed ideas about how many kids couples should have.  You look around and sometimes it’s kind of scary.  One thing I do know is the children my sister raises grow up with a sense of responsibility and maturity beyond what I see is most kids today.  I have 3 myself, but I’m done.  Knowing they will be a credit to our society I am not concerned with the number of children she has.  Hopefully, it will offset some of the kids growing up without the love and guidance she offers.

New moms love baby showers. Not only do baby showers bring parents needed gifts of baby supplies, they also bring together the parents’ family and friends to share in the joy of preparing for the new baby.

 But the baby only needs so many bibs and rattles. Don’t go with the same old, same old. Funny baby clothes make hilarious baby gifts you won’t find anywhere else and will evoke a great response from the baby shower.

I grew up with three older brothers, so naturally I have a bit of a tomboy streak in me.  I was into Transformers and G.I. Joes more than Barbie or Rainbow Brite.  Recently, I had my daughter and I told my husband that I was not interested in outfitting her in all pink.  He agreed, but we found that infant boy baby clothes were also made of bland shades of blue.

My husband was looking online and found some great novelty t-shirts that are fun and definitely allow our baby to stand out from the rest of kids at family parties.

When it comes to baby showers, new mothers can need hundreds of different things to care for a new infant.  When shopping for a new mother, you should consider first all of the essential items she will need for caring for her infant.  For example, high chairs, strollers, and cribs should be first on your mind.  If that’s a little out of your price range, consider bibs, burp cloths, and clothing.  There’s also always the option of purchasing something a little different; for this you might consider unique baby tees, baby food, or fun toys. 

Most mothers will register at various stores, so there’s always the option of looking up a registry.  However, it can be much more satisfying to purchase something you know the new mother wants and needs, and surprise her with it at her baby shower.  After all, where’s the fun in knowing exactly what you’re receiving!
