It’s amazing to see how certain children flourish with a great deal of attention. Just think of the last time you took your child to the mall in his stroller. When all the other mothers flocked to faun over how cute he was, didn’t his eyes light up? Didn’t he seem to become all the more active and alert? For an infant, there’s really nothing quite as powerful as receiving a steady source of positive attention.

With that in mind, one way to get your baby noticed when you’re out and about is by dressing him or her in funny baby t shirts. If your baby is wearing something particularly funny or outrageous, people will feel like they have a reason to come up to you and interact with your little one. Just make sure that you’re always there to supervise and ensure that all the attention your child receives is completely harmless and positive.

Goth isn’t Negative

When people think about the term “Goth,” in terms of the pop culture spectrum, their minds immediately go to Marilyn Manson or horror films.  Goth culture in it of itself is not that’s one that is violent, nor filled with hate or negativity.  It’s an expressionist movement inspired by the works of Edgar Allen Poe, William Shakespeare and Baroque art.

Contemporary Goth is something that can be traced back to the television show “Dark Shadows” and embodied by darker pop bands like The Cure, The Smiths or Depeche Mode.  That being said, I love to outfit my nephew in cool Gothic baby clothes.  I realize that some people don’t understand it, but my brother and sister-in-law get a kick out of these cute Goth-inspired wares I find for him, and that’s all that counts.

Baby ClothesI found this great article on Ezine Articles that I think blog readers would enjoy seeing that pertains to baby clothing and the steps to get stains out of baby clothes.

There is nothing worse than ruining one of your baby’s best outfits with a baby food stain. Just one small drop of baby food can quickly ruin an entire outfit. However, there is hope. Baby food stains do not have to ruin your infants clothing. There are some simple steps to both prevent the stains from happening, as well as removing them if they should happen.

First, begin by always using a bib. A baby bib will simply help to protect your baby clothes from the baby food. Often times it is easier to prevent a stain from occurring, than trying to remove the stain afterwards. You can also give your baby smaller bites. This will help to eliminate excess food spilling out of his or her mouth.

Should your baby’s clothes still become stained from the baby food, there are some quick and easy steps you can take to remove the stains. It is very important that you never iron or dry the clothes in the dryer until the stain is completely removed. Otherwise the heat from the iron and dryer will permanently set the stain into the clothes.

Often times a liquid detergent will help in removing the baby food stain. Simply put the detergent directly on the stain and let it sit. The worse the stain is, the longer you will want to leave the detergent on. After the detergent has set a while on the stain, rub the detergent into the stain. Afterwards, rinse the garment completely. If the stain is completely gone, you can then launder it like normal.

Why Dress Your Baby to Look like a Pink Nightmare?

I grew up with three older brothers, so naturally I have a bit of a tomboy streak in me.  I was into Transformers and G.I. Joes more than Barbie or Rainbow Brite.  Recently, I had my daughter and I told my husband that I was not interested in outfitting her in all pink.  He agreed, but we found that infant boy baby clothes were also made of bland shades of blue.

My husband was looking online and found some great novelty t-shirts that are fun and definitely allow our baby to stand out from the rest of kids at family parties.

Dressing Little James

I’ve always considered myself a little bit different, even off the wall, and when I had a son it gave me a whole new sense of responsibility.  But I still wanted to preserve my general outlook on life, so I always dress little James in funny baby clothes.  Now I don’t mean he’s wearing a clown costume with a red nose of course, but I like to make sure that together we’re making people laugh.  James has a shirt that says “My Dad Rocks!” and another that says “Wake me when it’s over”.  I always get comments on his funny baby clothes, and I think even my wife finds it amusing.

Finding all those funny baby clothes for James to wear wasn’t easy, but I found a place online that made custom t-shirts.  I think because each shirt has my own personal touch, they’re much more meaningful.  Heck, even I’d like to have a shirt that says “Wake me when it’s over” to wear to the boring business meetings I have to attend at work!
